What we collect, and why
Short version: we count visits so we know which gear people are actually looking for, and a quote request goes to Callum's inbox and nowhere else. We do not sell anything about you to anyone.
Your quote list stays on your device
The list you build as you browse is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. Close the tab, come back a week later, and it is still there because it never left your computer. We cannot see it. Nothing reaches us until you fill in the form on the quote page and press send.
Clearing your browser storage clears the list, and there is a clear button on the quote page that does the same thing.
When you send a quote request
The form asks for your name, your club or school, an email address, and optionally a phone number, a date you need things by, and any notes. We use that to price the job and reply to you. That is the only reason we ask.
The request is emailed to us by Resend, a service based in the United States, and lands in Callum's inbox. If it turns into a real quote, the details go into MYOB, our accounting system, because a quotation has to have a customer on it. It does not go anywhere else, and we do not add you to a mailing list off the back of a quote request.
Please do not put anything sensitive in the notes field. It is a quote request, so it only needs to be about gear.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which categories, products, and guides people use. It sets a cookie in your browser and records things like the page you are on, roughly where in the country you are, and whether you arrived from a search, an email, or a link someone shared.
We have turned off Google's advertising features, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you or to follow you around other websites. We cannot see your name, your email address, or your exact location, and we never try to identify individuals.
Analytics is shared across trailblazenz.com, our events site, and this one, so a visit that starts here and ends on the shop is counted once rather than as two strangers.
If you would rather not be counted, browser privacy settings and extensions that block analytics will do it, and nothing on this site will stop working.
Cookies
The only cookies here are the Google Analytics ones described above. There is no advertising, no remarketing, and no third-party tracking, so there is no consent banner asking you to accept things. If that ever changes, this page changes with it and you will get the banner that goes with it.
Your information, your call
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Emailcallum@trailblazenz.com and we will come back within two working days.
